Praznovanje malo prej / Celebrating

Torej smo
- spekli vsak svojo pico
- okrasili torto z gumijastimi bonboni
- nabirali jagode na vrtu
- risal
- gradili mesto iz kock
- si okrasili obraz s pustnimi barvami

Želela pa sem vam pokazati tole girlando.
Zadeva je silno enostavna. potrebujete star pisan koledar, sukanec in šivalni stroj.
Iz majhnega koledarja 20 x 30 cm (približno) sem dobila 5 m girlande.
Krasna zadeva za hitro okrasitev vrta!

Miss G celebrated her birthday today... few weeks too early. You know... it's fun to be a summer kid, but there is no one around to come to your birthday party. So we decided to make it now, when all her nursery scholl friends are still here.
I was a little nervous, couse this was my first only-kids-party. What I have learned is this: prepare a lot of activities.
So, we were
- making pizzas: every kid her/his own - big succes
- decorating a birthday cake with LOTS of jelly sweets - FUN!
- eating strawberries in the garden and picking them of course
- drawing
- building a  city with wooden blocks
- bodypainting
It was over way too soon, according to Miss G.

And I have a little garland-fun-tip for you.
I made it yesterday from an old calendar. It's fast, cheap and great garden decoration. You just have to cut little shapes (circles, hearts, flowers...) from your calendar pages, sew them together (with 1 cm space between two shapes) and you're done.

Ob morju / By the sea

Uradno smo odprli počitniško sezono.
Slovesen dogodek se je zgodil ob zvokih šumenja morja in
kričanja galebov.
Vsi prisotni so se strinjali, da ga ni čez dober dolg vikend...

It's official.
Summer time is here!!!
We spent few relaxing, fun and carefree days by the sea.

I hope you had a lovely weekend and that return to work today wasn't to bad. It's really quite in school these days. Kids went on holidays and only teachers are still walking around the empty corridor. In few days we'll be gone too. I really love my job. In the end of June you finish your school year and there is nothing that would  worry you during your holidays. You have time to relax and make plans for the next year.

Vile / Fairies

in bile smo zelo radovedne, kje so stopale drobne vilinske nožice.

Did you know that on the same spot, where fairies dance in the evening, mushrooms grew in the morning?
We wenz searching for those mushrooms today.
Because we could hear the fairy music coming from the woods yesterday evening...
and we were so curious to see the evidences of their dancing.

Čisto tiho smo stopale po mehkih tleh....

We were walking very carefully...

Se prebijale skozi gozd praproti.

We went through the forest of giant  ferns.

In potem našle...

And then we found...

... zaljubljena polža, nališpano gosenico, kačjega pastirja, modrega hroščka in ... vilinsko gobico.

... snails in love, a very fancy caterpillar, a dragonfly, a blue beetle and... a fairy mushroom.

Poletni solsticij / Summer solstice

Today is a magic day.
Sun is the strongest, most powerful in time of summer solstice and he gives his power to flowers. Specially yellow one.

In ker je v nas še vedno malo čarovnije
in ker še vedno verjamemo v čarobna bitja
sem moji čarovnički peljala na čarobno polje.

And because there is still some magic in us,
(there is a little witch hidden in every woman),
and because we still belive in magic,
I took my girls to the magic fild.

in
pustile, da nam semenčka padajo za čevlje.

We picked some  flowers for healing tea,
made bunches that we hanged near windows for protection against evil spirits
and we let seeds to fell into our shoes.

Želim vam čarobni poletni sončev obrat!

Happy Solstice to you!

This moment

{trenutek} - petkov ritual. Fotografija - brez besed - ki prikazuje trenutek tega tedna. Poseben trenutek. Trenutek, ki si ga želim zapomniti.

{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

Pod to rjuho sta si sestri delili skrivnosti, sanje in želje.

I belive that all of you know Jane Austen and her Pride and Prejudice. I really like the 2005 film with Keira Knightley.
And while watching some parts of the movie right here I saw something cute that I didn't see before. The cutest patchwork sheet under which sisters shared their secrets, desires and wishes.
So I gathered some cotton scraps from my stash and make a lovely pillow for sharing secrets. It's soft, bright and big enough for two little heads.

Malce prekmalu...... / A little too early......

Gospodična G je na festivalu sfilcala ljubko krogljico in perlicea je dala perlico in v rokah sem kmalu držala novoletno bunkico :o)

Oh, my, I think I just made a first Christmas ornament of this year....
Miss G made this cute little felted ball on a festival and I put it on my desk, watched it for few minutes, add some pearls and ribbon and all of a sudden I had a Christmas ornament in my hand :o)

Lunin festival / Kid's festival

Sobotno dopoldne in del popoldenav smo preživeli v parku Tivoli.

We spent Saturday morning and noon in Ljubljana, in park Tivoli. It was hot, crowdy and fun.

Najprej smo si na hitro ogledali nekaj prizorišč in iskali tisto, kar bi nam najbolj odgovarjalo. Gospodični sta slikali, skakali po napihnjenem gradu, si dali poslikati obraz, malce nezaupljivo gledali maskote in lovili balone.

We were wandering around for an hour, trying to find the best spot for us. Girls were painting, being painted, they were jumping in a air-castle, looking suspicious at mascots and running after balloons.

Than we find our little nook. Under the trees, with few stands with eco farm products, (Waldorf and Montessori) toys and felt. We were sitting on a bundles of straws, kids were happily playing and we were talking. It was great. It was like we came just for this little nook.

Bonjour *** 3

Prišli smo skoraj do konca našega potepanja.

We came almost to an end of our trip. But we can't come home empty-handed.
There is a lot of street artists around Paris and a lot of lovely displays. Windowshopping... a very popular activity......

There were a lot of painters on the square on Montmartre. Every one of them had an unique style and I loved watching them.
The upper painter was working with a paintbrush and this metal spoon I don't know the English name for.  Her works were so lovely.

Veliko staršev si tu zaželi portret svojega naraščaja. Ali morda svojo karikaturo...

Portraitists were having a lot of work. A lot of parents wanted to have a portret of their kids.

This display was not really the lovliest one, but there are some objects that I like. Like that cup in shape of a bellflower. Isn't it cute?

Here is something for your little princess... well there is also something for your prince inside the shop...

In case you are looking for a furniture... Paris has the biggest antic market I have every seen.

***********

Veliko novega vam imam pokazati.

This is it. I hope you like our little Paris walk. But now it's time to get back home. I have  a lot of new crafty-stuff to show you.
