Lešniki, balkon in pes / Nuts, balcony and one big dog

Z malim B sva imela čudovito popoldne.
Sedela sva na balkonu, trla lešnike, klepetala o drobnih rečeh in metala luščine skozi luknje v ograji.

Little B and I had a wonderful time today.
We sat on the balcony, crushing nuts, talking about tiny things and throwing husks through the holes in the fence.

A gentle afternoon sun.
Warm breeze.
Trees were calling with their rustling voices.

Pass the pond, through the reeds, among the trees... exploring with my kids.

Rože, knjiga in preja / Flowers, books and yarn

preja
Nasnula sem in hitro spletla trak za ušesa.

rože
Dva mala cvetka pelargonije. Darilo Gospodične N.
knjiga

yarn
I have no highly advanced knitting project for you to show today. A headband to cover Miss G's ears. From start to finnish in less than an hour.

flowers
Cute little pelargonium blossoms from Miss N.

books
I brought home Nature's Playground: Activities, Crafts and Games to Encourage Children to get Outdoors (by Fiona danks and Jo Schofield) from the library few days ago.

Zaljubljeni v svet / Falling in Love with the World

Jesenski pladenj
Naravni pladenj.

Nature tray
Instead of having a nature shelf I decided to put a nature tray on the table.
Nature shelf never realy worked for us. I love the idea, but stones, nuts, leave, whotever was on dispaly has miraculously disapered in few days and things like glue, cups... took their place.
But this tray is great. It's easy to move it around, nothing can fall off and it's all still there after few days. Yay!

Do you know, is this yellow eggplant edible?

A Leaf a Day in Autumn...1

Letošnjo jesen bom proslavila z listki.

Sobotno vrtnarjenje / Saturday Garden Journal

Prav vse še raste, se debeli, zori, poganja, dela glave itd kar je še primernih glagolov.
Navdušena sem nad endivijo. Pravzaprav je postala številka ena med solatami.
Bučke so malce upočasnile rast. Verjetno jih zebe.

It's all still growing, feeding us and making us happy in the garden.
We love endive... it has become a new favourite salat plant from the garden.
Zucchinis are slowing up their growth... must be the cold.
Cauliflower is too busy growing big green leaves and has no time for lovely white flower in the middle. Oh well, there is always next year.

Tale mali radovednež me je opazoval med prekopavanjem novih vrtnih površin (slaba dva metra celi dolžini). Čakal je na male priboljške. Teh je bilo kar nekaj.

This little  curious bird was watching me digging soil. She was waiting for fat juicy bugs.
(We'll add almost two metres on one side of the garden. Yay!)

We cut down the old sick elderflower tree today. The branches are lying on the groud and the girls had a lot of fun climbing around. We also found a  magpie's nest. Girls were fascinated. Now they know what I mean when I say that they have a magpie nest on the head.

Tole pa je (še) en vrtni projekt. Klopca. Pravzaprav sta dve.
Čudoviti bosta ob lopi in jaz poleg s knjigo v roki... vse ob svojem času...

And this is another big project for our garden. Two lovely benches that I have rescued from the side of the road. I love them. With a little bit of colors, new cushions and me with a book they are going to be great :o)
