Vrtnarski dnevnik / Saturday Garden Journal

Despite our abandonment of the garden for the week (and thanks to Žiga's
parents for watering the plants) everything is growing so nicely.
Sadly the weed to and there was some work to make the beds nice again :o)

We love cooked violet beans!
Gredo sem počistila in zopet posadila grah. Poleg njega pa še koromač in poflancala endivijo.
Peas, we can't get enough of it. The first plants are gone now and I cleared the bed and planted a fennel, endive and ... peas of course.
On the photo above are pea plants planted in the beginning of June (second round of peas) .
Bučke, oh, bučke. Pravi pragozd je na bučni gredi.
Oh, zucchinis... there is a true jungle of them them in zucchini patch. Love it!!!!

Moja vse večja strast - vrtne rože.
My big love - garden flowers.

Testni krompir.
Rezultat: majhen in neskončno dober.
Testing the growth of potatoes.
Small but oh so tasty.

Ob opazovanju vrta in kopanju po zemlji vedno pomislim, koliko se moram še naučiti. O rastlinah, o negi, o zemlji o malih in velikih trikih.
Na srečo imam krasno učiteljico. Nona namreč zelo aktivno sodeluje in mi pomaga pri mojih vrtnarskih podvigih.
I still got so much to learn about gardening. About plants, soil, everything. Luckily I got the best teacher, my Nana. She is helping me, advising me, guiding me on this great journey.
