... moj zaklad iz otroštva.
... my most treasured childhood possession.

Ljubka tema, kaj ne. V trenutku sem vedela o čem bom pisala.
Pet kanujev, šest otrok, naši starši in pes. Čudovito je bilo. Taborjenje, grozljive zgodbe ob tabornem ognju, raziskovanje zapuščenih mlinov ob reki, nočna straža in namišljeno lomastenje medveda… in seveda brzice. Ahil. Pogumni zajec Ahil. Ime je ostalo do danes. In spomin na čudovite počitnice tudi.

Such a lovely theme, don't you think. I instantly knew what I'm going to write about - a brave bunny, who survived the shipwreck.
But first things first.
I don't know how old I was when I found him in a store. But I do know I wanted him. I was dragging him all around the store, folowing my parents and pleading. You get the picture :o)
Yes, he came home with me and afterwards followed me everywhere I went. So many memories. Holidays at the seaside with my nana and grandad, gathering mushrooms with my grandparents (fathers side), wonderful adventures with my parents… amoung them is one, that is particularly important to the whole bunny thing. I was on on a holiday canoeing trip down the river Kolpa with my parents and friends. Amazing holidays: tents, fire and scary stories, bears in the woods, empty mills, rapids… We have usualy run the rapids with no special effords, but one time the current was too strong an the canoe turned around. The reiver took the bunny away from me and I was screaming for somebody to safe him. There was one man from our group, great guy with a great sense of humour. He saved my bunny and gave him a name – Ahil, after the Greek hero.

I didn't take Ahil with me, so I drew a picture of him to share with you. Thank you Daniele for a lovely theme. Click here to see more treasured childhood possesions...
